Liver Cancer

Cancer Treatment Method

Liver cancer is cancer that starts in the liver. Liver cancer can be primary (starts in liver) or secondary (meaning cancer has spread from elsewhere to the liver, known as liver metastasis). Liver metastasis is more common than that which starts in the liver.

Because liver cancer is an umbrella term for many types of cancer, the signs and symptoms depend on what type of cancer is present. Cholangiocarcinoma is associated with sweating, jaundice, abdominal pain, weight loss and liver enlargement. Hepatocellular carcinoma is associated with abdominal mass, abdominal pain, emesis, anemia, back pain, jaundice, itching, weight loss and fever.

Additional symptoms may include fatigue, fever, weight loss, anemia, nausea, and unexplained bone fractures. The diagnosis may be supported by blood tests and medical imaging, with confirmation by tissue biopsy.

Cancer is a disease that causes the most serious problems in the world. Chemotherapy's side effects on the patient, both physically and psychologically, is rather harsh. The patient's immune system is weak and therefore, their body doesn't have the ability to heal itself. Here at Advanced Healthcare, our Alternative Treatments involve a multimodal approach which is designed specifically to each patient's needs.
